Doris Payer is a knowledge broker at the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction

(CCSA). She earned her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles, and was a clinical research scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto before leaving academia to pursue her passion for knowledge mobilization. This journey took her to the United Kingdom as a neuroscience advisor at the Beckley Foundation (Oxford, UK) and later coordinator of the Mental Health Innovation Network, a knowledge

exchange platform jointly led by the Centre for Global Mental Health (London, UK) and the World Health Organisation. Doris has a longstanding passion for drug harm reduction and peer education, and is thrilled to combine her neuroscience background with her desire to change how society views people who use drugs for CCSA’s Brain Story initiative.

Registration Fees 

  • Individual session – $50
  • 5 part series – $200
  • Group registration for the series – $250

Registration for the series (individual or group) entitles registrants to participate in all 5 sessions either live on Zoom or by listening to the recording on a private YouTube channel.

Group registrations 

Group registrations entitle up to 4 registrants in a group to participate in all 5 sessions – either live on Zoom or by listening to the recording on a private YouTube channel. When we receive a payment on Eventbrite for a group, the person who registered will receive a code which they can send to everyone in their group to register at no cost to the individual.  This allows several people in a team or organization to participate at a reduced cost.
